RUFC - Nicholas signs for Millers

Rotherham United have signed defender, Andy Nicholas who has been a free agent since being let go by Swindon Town in the summer.

Andy started his career with Liverpool and was their U19 captain before being released and moving to Swindon Town. When he was with Liverpool he was timed at being quicker than Michael Owen and picked up their Supporters Young Player of the Year in 2004. Andy also has a long throw.

Millers Manager, Mark Robins, told the Official Site that he is pleased to have got Andy and that he will provide good competition for Jamie Green.

It is thought that the club would like to try him out tonight against Wolves in the Carling Cup game.
