'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Manager wants BIG club in next round

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has told the Yorkshire Post that 'no one should underestimate' what his League Two team have already done in the Carling Cup.

The Millers have taken Championship clubs, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers, to extra time and won on penalties in the first two rounds of the Cup competition and Robins is now looking for a 'big money-spinning draw' in the next round. 'Knocking out two Championship clubs is a feat,' Robins said, 'but getting a Premiership side in the next round would be great for the coffers.

'What the players have been through already this season has made them mentally stronger - it looks to have galvanised us. And I am delighted with how things have gone so far but we have to hang on to it for dear life. We know how quickly things can change in football. We have quality all through the squad and the Carling Cup result gives everybody confidence in their own abilities.'

Why not at this stage its all about the money a smaller Club can make out of the competition.
