'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Manager of the Month

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has been voted August's Manager of the Month for Coca-Cola League Two.

Three wins and a draw in the League and Two wins over Championship sides in the Carling Cup helped to sway the votes.

Speaking to the Football League Official Site, Robins said, 'I'm delighted to get this award. Our problems have been well highlighted and the staff and players have been through such a lot in a short space of time. It's a big relief to come through it all.

'The challenge of keeping your job as a manager is precarious enough without thinking that your club is on the brink of going under. But through it all no one has felt sorry for themselves. Everyone has responded amazingly well and these experiences can make you stronger.

'We've turned the corner and can look forward to a new dawn. I hope this Coca-Cola prize is a good omen. I picked one up last season before we went to Chesterfield and won and we play them again this weekend and I'm looking for the same result.'

All at Vital Rotherham send their Congratulations to Mark
