RUFC - Cummins 'massive game'

Rotherham United take on Luton Town at Don Valley tomorrow and midfielder, Micky Cummins says that it is a massive game.

Like the Millers, the Hatters started with minus points this season and Cummins said, 'along with Bournemouth, this is the first game all the players looked for when the fixture list came out. Players tend to look at Boxing Day and New Year's fixtures first but more important for us this season is getting back to zero points and when we were playing Luton and Bournemouth. Therefore, tomorrow is going to be one of the biggest games in the league this season.

'We know we will have to be on our toes because Luton won last week. We are getting ever nearer those zero points and we want to stay unbeaten at Don Valley.

'We were awful last week,' the thirty-year old told The Advertiser, 'we lacked ideas and tried to hit it forward too early although we didn't set out to play that way. But, if the other team comes and stops you playing, you don't get the rub of the green and the referee is awful, things tend to go against you. We work on a lot of short passing in training but it just didn't seem to come off although fair play to Rochdale who are a decent side and will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

'But, we played poorly and ground out a result and in the end we could have won it.'

Good luck this weekend lads. I hope we win, mainly because we need the points far more than you do. But either way, I think we'll both be happy with our side's placings come May.

Here's hoping both you, us and Bournemouth can show the League that minus points don't bother us!
