'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Football Meets Ballet

Not sure what to make of this, then again, I'm a heathen!

The Beautiful Game on the Beautiful Stage

Football meets ballet. Really. Watch our video to see the pioneers of the pitch meet the dazzlers of the dance floor.

For years football fans have argued about which were the most memorable moments on the pitch. Was it Geoff Hurst`s winning goal in the 1966 World Cup Final or how about David Beckham`s free kick against Greece in 2001? Maybe it was Gazza`s goal against Scotland at Euro 96?

We may soon get a definitive answer to the question and see those magic moments in a whole new light. The New Football Pools have joined forces with English National Ballet to create a dancing spectacular called "The Beautiful Game" which takes these and many more magical pitch performances, and interprets them in balletic terms.

If you`ve always imagined what would happen if David Beckham or Pele took to the stage, you`re about to find out! How do you convert goals into pirouettes, tackles into terrific turns? These questions and more are answered in our video, which features the choreographer of the show as well as comment from football legend Gordon Banks OBE and John Barnes. Who knows, maybe football fans will soon be talking more 4-4-Tutu rather then 4-4-2!

I could be very wrong here, but I am sure some time in the distant past the Millers went to a ballet school for excercises. Anyone else remember or is it just me!

Ahhh might be! No, I'm almost sure it was in the Gemmil era that they went to strengthen their muscles.
