'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins on Tonge

Rotherham United defender, Dale Tonge, got his first game of the season in last night's Carling Cup victory over Southampton.

Mark Lynch joined the Millers in the summer and manager, Mark Robins has prefered the twenty-seven year old to Tonge.
But Tonge got the nod yesterday evening because Lynch has a shoulder injury.

Robins told the Official Site, 'Dale has been disappointed at being left out of the side, but Mark Lynch has been superb. It's good that we have depth in that position.'

Tonge was voted the Sponsor's 'Man of the Match' last night and Robins said, 'It was the performance I expected from Dale.'

Dale Tonge was man of the match for me. Worked hard.
