'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Saints Boss Sleepless over Millers

Rotherham United's Carling Cup win over Southampton gave the Saints manager a sleepless night.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, Jan Poortvliet admitted that he has concerns that some of his players did not seem too upset about the 3-1 defeat at Don Valley.

'It was difficult to sleep in the night. It was just in the morning I slept a little,' the Championship clubs head coach said. 'I have to think about what is the next thing because we have to do something. The thing we need is players who go for a win and, like me, don't sleep when they lose. That for me is a big point. I don't think some of the players realised what they did. Some of them are too relaxed with the defeat.'

To be honest, Mr P, I didn't sleep much that night either - but mine was down to excitment!
