RUFC - Nicholas 'important not to lose'

Rotherham United defender, Andy Nicholas, says he thinks that Saturday's draw away at Dagenham and Redbridge was more two points lost than one point gained.

Speaking to RotherFM after the game he said, 'We could have had three or four in the first half and then they had a period of pressure and went and scored, which is what happens if you don't take your chances. It was a poor goal for us to give away but it was a good finish from the lad. We had a good first half and then a spell of uncertainty after they scored but we did well to get back into it and we even had a half chance at the end to win it but overall, I think we are probably looking at two points dropped. If it had been a boxing match I think it would have been stopped at half-time. But, it's important not to lose and keep the run away from home going because we've only had the one blip. What's good is that when the bench came on it affected the game and we didn't let heads drop. If you want to be the top team you have to take your chances and go in two or three up at half-time.

'I've settled in well but it's easy to do that when you come into a winning side that has good spirit. I've settled into the area and I feel like I've been here for a while.

'Come Christmas, hopefully we will have amassed a decent set of points and we can have a bit of fun and see what we can do.'
