RUFC - RUSC Members Meeting

Rotherham United Supporters Club held a members open meeting this evening in The Moulders at Masborough.

The meeting was opened by the Vice Chairman and the Secretary read out the minutes from the previous meeting.

Membership
At the moment Membership is 186 people, made up of 28 Junior members, 123 Adult members and 34 Family members.


Don Valley
The Supporters Club have been allocated space in the Season Ticket 500 room at Don Valley on match days to sell travel tickets and membership.
A member asked how you was supposed to get into this room if you weren't a Season Ticket holder - a Committee member replied that they had asked the club about this and had got no satisfactory reply.

RUSC/Trust Merger
It has been suggested that the Supporters Club and Millers Trust merge to make one voice. A meeting was held between the two groups but nothing will be decided until all members of both groups have been asked what they want to do. One of the main reasons the merger is wanted is so that the club cannot 'play each group of against one another' as it feels has happened in the past. One idea was that although the two groups would merge, they would both keep their own identities. One member thought the merger would be a good idea while, on the whole, the members present this evening were not particularly in favour at this time.

Travel Report
The Supporters Club has taken coaches to every away game this season and is taking one to Bournemouth on 11th October. Cost is £20 for Adults and £12 for U16's. The coaches will be setting off at 8am from the Moulders and 8.15am from the Trades.
A member asked why there had been a change of venue for catching the coaches and the Travel Organiser said that, as Millmoor had no parking facilities, they found it better for people to wait at The Moulders.

Any Other Business

The Supporters Club were disappointed that the club did not offer, when asked, a signed shirt that could be auctioned at the stall on Rotherham Show weekend.

The badges are on order and should be with the members soon.
