'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Open Forum This Evening

Rotherham United group, Millers Trust, held an open forum this evening with guests, Chairman, Tony Stewart, Management team, Mark Robins and John Breckin and Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas. From the Trust itself were Chairman, Mark Thomas, Steve Exley and Lee Rowbotham who is Membership Secretary.

Mark Thomas opened the forum and firstly he thanked the Rotherham United staff who had stopped on to help and took a wage deferral and he thanked the staff who had been made redundant when the bad times were on. He also thanked the Administrator, Mr Bleazard.

He went on to say that the fans should congratulate themselves and if there was a loyalty tree then they would be on the top branch.

The main Mission of the Trust is to give the fans the running of the club. Mr Thomas seemed to think that things were moving on in the merger of the Trust and the Supporters Club and if that happened they could adopt the Supporters Trust status and the fan base would then be around twenty five per cent of the four thousand supporters.

The Trust's hopes and expectations are for a period of sustained financial stability and that we would see the club back in Rotherham in four years time in a new stadium.
