'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - More Q & A with the Chairman

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart, had a question and answer session this evening at an Open Forum set up by the Millers Trust.

Does the club get any profit from the bar/food outlets at Don Valley
This was answered by Paul Douglas, the clubs Chief Operating Officer.
No, we don't make anything from the bars as you go into Don Valley. But we have got the 500 Club up and running for Season Ticket holders. We split the profits in there with Don Valley

Have you thought of filling Don Valley by giving out free tickets to school children
That's an idea. I want people to put ideas to us.

The Official attendance figures seem to be on the low side
I can assure you that the attendance figures are correct. The turnstiles at Don Valley are computer driven and the numbers are right.
The home end holds seven and a half thousand and the away end holds two and a half thousand.

If we draw a 'big club' in a Cup game, would we be able to use the whole of Don Valley
Don Valley holds twenty five thousand and we have been assured that we could use that. We would just have to get permission

What can you say about the Database It is the Police who have given us direction in this. If you remember they cancelled our pre-season friendly with Leeds United because they said there was bad blood between the Sheffield clubs and Leeds. They couldn't do anything when we drew them in the JP Trophy but said that fans had to be on the database and that it was one ticket only per season ticket holder.
At the Grimsby game you will be able to pick up data forms. Fill them in and you will be able to get Leeds tickets. Although we know it's short notice but you will have to trust us and forgive us on this

To finish off, Mr Stewart said, 'you know, it is early days but there is a spring in the step and we will do our level best to move this club forward.'
