'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Sharps 'we are a better team than Saturday'

Rotherham United defender, Ian Sharps, has told MillersWorld, that Rotherham are a better team than Saturday.

Sharps, whose headed goal started a mini-comeback on Saturday, said, 'We were all disappointed with Saturday. We let in two soft goals, actually we're not happy with any of the goals, and didn't take our chances. It was possibly a lack of concentration. We had more chances on Saturday than we have the rest of the season but we didn't score them, though no-one missed on purpose.

'We feel we are a better team than we showed on Saturday and it's important that when we have our bad days the supporters stay with us. I can understand that they were disappointed at four-one down but they seemed to get behind us a bit better when we got into the game more.

'Bury is a big game and it's three points we can win and let's hope we can do it. People will remember the defeat and poor performance at Bury last year and now we've got the chance to put things right. It's not got good memories for me because it's where I got my hernia.

'Six points from the next two games would be brilliant but we'd take four. We do feel we are capable of winning them.'
