RUFC - Fenton 'not looking at relegation places'

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton, trained yesterday and has declared himself fit to play in this evenings game at Don Valley.

Speaking to RotherFM after the draw against Wycombe on Saturday, the twenty-nine year old said, 'I thought with all the chances we could have had all three points. Mickey Cummins missed a couple, one a brilliant save from the 'keeper, but then they had a couple of chances too so, on reflection, a point was a good result. Wycombe are a big, strong side, perfect for this level, though I thought, over the game we were marginally the better team.

'After two home defeats it was vital we got something out of the game. We threw it away against Barnet and Darlingon was a nothing game, they had one shot and scored. But we aren't looking at the relegation places, we should be out of that now and we should be pushing up the league to see how far we can get.

'We're having a rest from the league for a couple of weeks with the cup games coming up and we've got three long trips. As a player you'd rather be playing in games than training. It should be a good game against Leicester they are a good side and they should put a strong side out. It will be hard but one we can win.

'We're going to enjoy the cup games. It's a nice time for the club and for the fans and hopefully we can progress in them.'
