RUFC - Sharps 'a bit special tonight'

Rotherham United take on Stoke City this evening of the Premiership in the Carling Cup Fourth round. Big defender, Ian Sharps, says that tonight will be 'a bit special'.

Sharps, who made his one hundredth appearance for the Millers on Saturday in the one all draw at Aldershot told the Yorkshire Post, 'Playing three Cup games in a row is a lot for a club of our size - but we are loving it. And the fans are loving it too.

'Going to Stoke tonight and a Premiership ground is a bit special. We will be the underdogs again but that has been the case for most of our Cup games this season and we have risen to the challenge. The crowd are also a bit more forgiving when we play teams from a higher division and don't mind so much when we soak up the pressure.'

Looking back at his one hundred games for the Millers he admitted, 'it feels like five hundred at times! I've had a lot of points deducted while I've been here. But, through all the troubles, I have enjoyed it.'
