'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins post Stoke

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, says that everyone connected with the club should be proud of what has been achieved this season.

Speaking to MillersWorld after the defeat to Premiership Stoke City in the Carling Cup last night, Robins said, 'We gave a good account of ourselves and I'm proud of them. With a bit more self confidence in the final third it could have been a different story. I thought at times we passed it well, we huffed and puffed around the goalmouth a bit and put some quality balls in but we were a bit lacking in belief and we probably didn't stamp our authority up the field. If their goalie hadn't made such a great save and it had gone to one each then it could have been different.

'But, Stoke were worthy of the win last night and their class told. Tony Pullis paid us a bit of a compliment by playing at least three players who had played on Saturday in the Premiership.'

Robins finished by complimenting the support in the away end last night.
