RUFC - Robins to ring changes?

Rotherham United will be playing their twelfth game in thirty-nine days by the time they line up to play Exeter on the 25th of this month and it could be that this Saturday at Gillingham will see Manager, Mark Robins, rest a few of his 'senior players'.

On Tuesday night, at Stoke, there were times when the players looked a little jaded and were clearly second to the ball. And, it's not as if we don't have a few players waiting on the sidelines such as Jamie Yates, Richie Barker and Ryan Taylor.

Speaking to The Advertiser, Robins said, ' We need to put the Cup games on the back burner this weekend and concentrate on the game at Gillingham. They are a strong side who are climbing the league and we have to make sure we are right for this game. We've had a lot of games and I have to be mindful of fatigue and we will look at options regarding team selection. Everyone wants to play and they aren't going to come to me and say 'gaffer, I'm tired.'

'I don't want to go into details but we are doing things differently in training to keep the players fresher. There has been a change in intensity.'

Robins is disappointed at having to play Aldershot again in the FA Cup replay saying, 'I've looked at the game again and it wasn't a penalty. But, at least we've had a good look at Aldershot and know what they're about.'
