'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Cummins 'some angry lads'

Rotherham United Midfielder, Micky Cummins said it was 'just one of those days' after the team lost four-nil at Gillingham on Saturday.

Speaking to RotherFM he said, 'With all the games we've played lately in the league and cup I think we were a bit leggy. Then Dan got sent off but at one-nil we were still in it. There were some shocking decisions that went against us and the lads were angry after the game and I think some of them would like to meet the referee in a dark alley! They scored with their first attack and we were all over and Tongey ended up on the back post with their centre half.'

Speaking about some of the decisions in the game Cummins said about the sending off, 'Danny says he went in to protect himself and he's an honest lad. In the second half we could have had a penalty and Reuben (Reid) got booked when he was fouled on the edge of the area. There was definitely contact. Why would he dive when he was one on one? Andy Warrington got injured and, you know, their striker blatantly took him out of the game. After that he couldn't stretch his left arm or kick and he was clearly in agony.

'But we have to regroup now for Tuesday night and we'll have to see who comes in for training. The games are coming thick and fast and hopefully we can bounce back.'
