RUFC - Robins 'too inconsistent'

Rotherham United players will be getting tough when they come back from their weekend off to training on Monday morning.

Manager, Mark Robins, says, 'We're all looking forward to a break this weekend and I think the players deserve it. They can have a rest and start focusing again on Monday.'

Speaking to The Advertiser, Robins carried on, 'It's about getting back to it on the training ground and working on drills. With all the games we've had recently we've not had enough of that in training. And, it's a lesson to us all, that however many games you have, you have to get drills in there and remind people of the basics. We've worked hard on set pieces and delivery and I think you can see the evidence of that on matchdays. But, there are times when you look at it and can't see where you've done all the work. We aren't keeping the ball enough and give possesion away to easily. We aren't working hard enough to break teams down and get in between them. We're too inconsistent at the moment. We've got a situation where we've got a bit of a block in front of goal.

'The players thoughts will be on other things this weekend but I'll be thinking about our next game at Shrewsbury and what we can do to improve and how we can go about it on the training ground.'
