'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Back To Basics..

Veteran striker Andy Booth scored a hat-trick of headers to put Huddersfield firmly back in contention for an automatic promotion place in League One with a 4-1 win over Rotherham.

Ironically it was the millers who started as though they were in a play off place with some lovely crisp passing in the opening 25 minutes and deservedly took the lead through jonathan fortes 13th minute strike

unfortunately it was a lead that the millers could not sustain and that old veteran andy booth was left unmarked to make the scores level just after the half hour mark- sadly he was allowed to repeat this feat a few moments later to put town 2-1 up at half time, when for most of the half they had played second fiddle as the millers knocked the ball around impressively.

After the interval michael keane had the opportunity to pull the millers level but his header from quinns cross narrowly went wide of seniors left hand post.

on 82 minutes that man booth grabbed his hat trick with a carbon copy of his first.

a minute or so later the millers found themselves 4-1 down- to a wonder strike from towns super sub fletcher.

overall a very dissapointing day for the millers and there 2,000 following, a superb result last tuesday was followed today by some schoolboy defending.

At this stage of the season the millers must be more consistant if we are to play in this league next season.

why did we give a proven goalscorer like booth so much room
POKERMILLERSWINTON
its a big worry for rest of season we all knew booth's strengths but never looked like coping both slack marking and no closing down man with ball to stop crosses etc MUST IMPROVE the basics and fast
mvmiller
we need a striker like booth ....
POKERMILLERSWINTON
very dissapointing, poor performance, and we need a new keeper and quick
