RUFC - No Appeal

Rotherham United finished Saturday's game at Shrewsbury with nine men after striker, Drewe Broughton and goalkeeper, David Stockdale were sent off.

After the game, Manager, Mark Robins, indicated that he'd like to see both incidents again but today, The Star says that he will accept both decisions and will not be appealing against them.

Broughton was red carded after receving his second yellow of the game, (which, I thought you couldn't appeal against anyway?) and Stockdale, on loan from Fulham, received a straight red when he brought down Kevin McIntyre to deny him a goalscoring opportunity.

The Millers, who didn't get one red card last season, have now got five already this season. Apart from Broughton and Stockdale, Ian Sharps, Marc Joseph and Danny Harrison have all been sent in for an early bath.

Broughton and Stockdale will miss next Saturday's game at Don Valley against Aldershot. Young Steven Cann, who took over on Saturday, will replace Stockdale and he will be hoping to get more satisfaction than he did on his only other senior appearance which, coincidentally was also against Aldershot in the FA Cup replay. The Millers lost that game three-nil.
