RUFC - Lynch hoping for early Christmas present

Rotherham United defender, Mark Lynch, hasn't played since dislocating his shoulder in September but he hopes that he will be available before Christmas.

Manager, Mark Robins, told The Star, 'Mark sees the specialist next week and is hoping he will give him the go ahead to start playing again.'

Lynch, who joined the Millers in the summer, was hoping he wouldn't need to have surgery on his shoulder when he came off in the final minute of the game against Luton at Don Valley. But, it was thought an operation was needed.

Will Lynch get back into the side? Since Dale Tonge took over from him he has become one of the shining lights in the Rotherham side and, in my opinion, will take some shifting from the team. But, of course, competition for places is part and parcel of football and something that can only be a good thing for the club.
