'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Warrington back in January?

Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington has been out for a couple of weeks with a shoulder injury and has said he is very frustrated not to be able to play.

Speaking to MillersWorld, Warrington, ever present last season for the Millers, said, 'It's a big disappointment for me not to be playing because it's a big season for us this season and we've a big task in front of us.

'My shoulder is coming on and I've been out with the 'keepers doing a bit of handling and foot work but the surgeon says I haven't got to dive for around six weeks. That makes it the day after Boxing Day and then it will take a week or so to get back into it. It feels OK, but I know if I do any diving before the time is up then I risk rupturing the shoulder.

'David Stockdale's been brought in - I think he was in the Centre of Excellence at York when I was there and he had an excellent season last season. We have a players' player of the season and he was mine last season. He got his move to Fulham and now he's here helping us out.'

David Stockdale won't be able to play against his old team, Darlington, tonight as he is serving a one match ban for a straight red against Shrewsbury. Steven Cann will deputise.
