'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Barker link played down

Rotherham United striker, Richie Barker, was named the man most wanted by Mansfield Town fans to take over as manager this week.

But, Rotherham Manager, Mark Robins, told Radio Sheffield, that 'there is nothing in it.'

'I've had not contact from Mansfield,' Robins said.

Barker, who is thirty-three, is in his second spell with the Millers. He played one hundred and forty games for them between 2001 and 2004 before going onto Mansfield where he scored forty goals in ninety-five games. From Mansfield he moved to Hartlepool and it's from there that he is currently on a three month loan with Rotherham. He is expected to sign a permanent deal in January.
