RUFC - New Mascot to be revealed

Rotherham United have found a new mascot and he or she will be making their debut on Boxing Day at Don Valley against Port Vale.

Rotherham United spokesman, Mark Hitchens, told the Official Site, 'It will be great for our supporters to finally get their first glimpse at the new mascot.'

There is no clue given about what the mascot actually is or whether playing drum is part of the new entertainment.

How important is it that we have a mascot? I think we all had a bit of a soft spot for Dusty (come on, you know you did!) Although I don't think RotherBird was missed when it flew of to goodness knows where! There is a poll on the home page asking whether or not we really need a club mascot.
