RUFC - Dale boss unhappy with Taylor

Rotherham United's latest signing, Jason Taylor has upset Rochdale Manager, Keith Hill.

Apparently, Hill had spent a lot of time this week trying to get the twenty-one year old striker to sign for Rochdale and has told the Rochdale Observer of his anger after Taylor signed for the Millers on Thursday. 'Jason was a target of ours,' Hill said, 'and would have been an ideal signing for us. I'm really miffed that we've missed out on him. We'd been in communication with him and his agent all week and we were confident that he would be a Rochdale player by Monday. But, at the last minute, he's joined Rotherham. We'd worked hard trying to sell the club to him and I'm really disappointed. I hope the move works well for Jason and I wish Rotherham no ill but for a club that has been in administration twice in the last few years to offer more money than a solvent club like ours just stinks.'


Hill also had a bit of a pop at football agents saying, 'Agents are just in for a penny, in for a pound. But, when you get a player who is just fifteen miles down the road from us being advised to move to Rotherham well I have to ask if that player is getting good advice.'
