RUFC - Robins 'committed to Millers'

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has told the Yorkshire Post that he is one hundred per cent committed to the Millers after his name was put in the hat for the vacant Manager's job at his ex club Norwich City.

'We've got a big game at Scunthorpe tonight,' Robins said, 'and I want to concentrate on that. Apart from saying that I am 100 per cent committed to Rotherham United.'

Chairman, Tony Stewart says that there has been no approach from Norwich City for Robins and that he would be 'totally amazed if Robins left' and that the thirty-nine year old Manager would be taking a major gamble moving to Norwich at this stage of his career, stating Paul Ince as a note of caution. 'We've talked about it in the past,' Mr Stewart said, 'and you could say that Paul Ince moved too soon. Moving up two divisions may be glorious but if you are not ready for that step up, you can slide down again pretty soon. Mark is a sensible guy and his aspirations for this club are the same as mine. He is a man on a mission and he feels good about Rotherham United.'
