'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Hudson 'we are full of confidence'

Rotherham United midfielder, Mark Hudson, scored the only goal of the game on Saturday to give the Millers a win over Bournemouth.

Speaking to MillersWorld about his goal, Hudson said, 'The ball came to me and I caught it sweet on my left foot and it went in off the post I think. It's only my third this season and I was due a goal and hopefully I'll get more before the end. We should have had more goals before half-time and at just one-nil they were always in it and they had a few chances before the end of the game.

'The gaffer has given us the freedom to go up from midfield and when Pablo (Mills) is back we will give me more scope to go forward. We changed the formation after fifteen minutes and put Reuben (Reid) up front and it went a lot better.

'We knew if we didn't get beaten in these last few games it would stand us in good stead. The quality of training has risen by about five or ten per cent in the last week or two and I think that shows on the pitch because we are keeping the ball a lot better.'

Speaking about this evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game with Scunthorpe, Hudson said, 'We played Scunthorpe in pre-season and they are a good side and are doing well in their league. It will be tough but we hope to make a game of it. We haven't been beaten in six games and we will be going there full of confidence.'
