RUFC - Breckin 'Game plan worked well'
Rotherham United Assistant Manager, John Breckin told the Official Site that the game plan worked well today after the two-nil win over Macclesfield Town.
'We knew that Macclesfield would be tough opponents,' Breckin said, 'so it was a good result today. It was a bit scrappy at times but we won the battle and scored two goals. Mark (Robins) told Reuben (Reid) that he wants to see more of him and he was a real asset today and took his goal well.'
Speaking about Jamie Green's surprise return to the starting eleven after injury, Breckin said, 'To be honest we had written him out of today's game but it just goes to show how quickly injuries can heal. Jamie showed plenty of enthusiasm today and played really well.'
Breckin also said that they had spoken to a couple of players and it was hoped that there would be some new faces in next week.'
