RUFC - Breck on signings

Rotherham United assistant Manager, John Breckin, spoke to The Star about future signings on Saturday after the two-nil win at Don Valley over Macclesfield.

With the transfer market closing at 5pm this evening the Millers have been talking about getting in two new players, probably strikers. They had hoped to get at least one of them in before the game on Saturday, but that didn't come to any fruitation. Although there has been no confirmation from anyone at the club, it is believed a six figure bid has been made for Barnsley's Kayode Odejayi, but the Millers may have competition for the tall striker from Hartlepool and Scunthorpe. Another target for the Millers is thought to be a Premier League player.

Breckin said on Saturday evening, 'We think one is in the bag and hopefully we'll get the other. One is a permanent signing and one a loan - if the permanent one comes in it will be quite a big fee.'
