Enjoy The Match Campaign Up For Award

The Football League's Enjoy The Match Campaign has been nominated for an award.

The Award is Best Promotion of Sport by a Governing Body at the Sports Industry Awards of 2009.

The Enjoy the Match campaign was launched at the start of this season to encourage more families to attend their local football club games and to help remove the abusive and aggressive language and behaviour in family areas of the football ground.

The Football League's Marketing Manager, David Malkinson said they are delighted to make the shortlist and told the Football Leagues Official Site, 'This is a great endorsement of the Enjoy the Match campaign which is already having a positive impact on the family experience at football League grounds.'

Rotherham United are amongst the sixty-eight clubs who have signed up for the campaign.
