RUFC - Robins hopes game is on
Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, is hoping tomorrow's game at Barnet doesn't fall foul of the weather after having Tuesday nights game postponed.
Speaking to The Advertiser, Robins said, 'If we get many more postponements we are going to find ourselves playing Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday football.
'We are looking forward to the game at Barnet. When they came to Don Valley earlier in the season they did a smash and grab on us but it will be a different challenge for us this time because they've got a caretaker manager in, Ian Hendon, who is trying to stamp his authority on the team. They have experience down the spine of the team and we have to be ready for them.
'I was pleased with our defence last weekend against Macclesfield and our attack too while we won the battle in midfield. It wasn't a pretty game but we scored two good goals and won. And that's what we need to maintain until the end of the season.'
The Millers have had their training sessions disrupted by the snow this week. The squad managed to train at Balby on the astroturf on Wednesday but most of the work has been done indoors where they were doing cardiovascular drills yesterday.
If the game doesn't go ahead tomorrow, and there is to be a pitch inspection today (when Barnet's pitch is found under the snow presumably!), then the next available Tuesday for the Millers is 24th March inbetween two home games.
