RUFC - Nostalgia Society

Rotherham United Nostalgia Society welcomes ex Miller, Tony Cunningham to their meeting this evening, 12th February.

Tony started his league career with Lincoln City before spending a couple of years in South Yorkshire at Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday. He then went onto play at Maine Road and Newcastle before moving to Blackpool, Bury and Bolton.

The tall striker joined the Millers in 1991 and played a big part in the promotion from the old fourth division. He played sixty-nine games for Rotherham scoring twenty-four goals.

He then went to play for Doncaster Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers before hanging his boots up after a spell with Gainsborough Trinity. He played four hundred and ninety five league games scoring one hundred and sixteen goals.

Tonight's meeting is at the Green Dragon, Kimberworth and begins at 8.30pm.
