'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Danny 'hope I've given gaffer a headache!'

Rotherham United midfielder, Danny Harrison told The Advertiser that he hopes he has given his manager a headache!

The twenty-six year old has found himself kicking his heels on the bench for the last couple of months but started on Saturday at Rochdale in place of Pablo Mills who was ill. He started again on Tuesday at Don Valley and he hopes he's done enough to keep his place.

'When your chance comes you have to take it and give the manager a selection headache, which I hope I've done,' Harrison said. 'We've got a strong and experienced squad here and at some stage of the season we've all found ourselves on the sidelines. You've just got to train as hard as you can and when you get your chance you have to make it count. At Rochdale we showed the experience in the squad towards the end when we slowed the game down. We absorbed the pressure and were in control and we were unlucky to concede a goal.

'We've been on a cracking run and it's credit to all the lads, not just those in the team. Everyone has trained really well. We want to finish as high as we can and show everyone where we would have been if not for the minus seventeen. It would be brilliant to show that we could have finished up in the top three.'
