RUFC - If not for those minus points....

Rotherham United were dealt a blow at the start of the season when they were given minus seventeen points. But, they have overcome that deficit, nay, more than overcome it and are currently fifteenth in the league. And with those points added on, well…

'We`d have been good enough to go up,` Manager, Mark Robins told The Advertiser. But Robins doesn`t want his team to sit back now, he says there is still plenty to go for - players are playing for contracts and the Millers can still have a say in what goes on at the top of the league. 'The talk is about us being safe from relegation,` Robins carried on, 'But, I don`t want to hear that. I want us to give the same performances that we`ve been giving over the last thirty games or so.`

The Millers have only lost one in their last ten league games and with the seventeen points added on they would have been in sixth place now, probably preparing for a big push to get into an automatic place or for a game at Wembley. Of course, that`s not going to happen now and it`s going to be hard work for the players in the next couple of weeks. After tomorrow`s game at Don Valley there is a lot of travelling to be done as the Millers go to Luton, Aldershot and Barnet but, I am sure that Mark Robins wont have, as a famous duo say, 'no slacking` in his team.
