'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins post Barnet

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins thought that his team looked 'leggy' last night after the loss at Barnet which isn't surprising really after three away trips at Luton, Aldershot and Barnet in eight days.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, the gaffer said, 'It's the end of the long trips now and we've got four home and two away games, although it's a hectic Easter weekend with two games in three days.

'The amount of games isn't an excuse because we were beaten by a player, Paul Furlong, who has been around a long time and who lulled us into a false sense of security for the first goal when he put the ball through Ian Sharps legs and stuck it into the net. For the second he found space in the box, we didn't stop it and he got his header in. And Gary Breen martialled his defence well at the back. When we went one down we tried to nick something but it wasn't to be and we aren't going to dwell on it.

'If we'd won tonight we'd have beaten the record for the run of away wins that went back to 1951 which just shows what an achievement we've made this season and the players can be proud but it was always going to be a tough ask with the amount of games we've played.

'We are on the final run-in now but we need to push on and get to our target of ending in the top three before the points were taken off us.'
