RUFC - The gaffer wants more from Taylor

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, is calling for more from striker, Ryan Taylor.

The twenty-year old started the game on Monday at Port Vale but was subbed on the hour mark by Robins because he looked tired. Now, I'm not saying the other lads out there were exactly running rings round Vale's players but Ryan is only a young lad and hasn't played as many games as some of his team mates, and I would, personally, have taken him off at half-time and replaced him with Jamie Clarke.

'I'm looking for more from him,' Robins told The Advertiser. 'You put the young players in at this stage of the season because they've usually got a lot of energy and I know Ryan had glandular fever but that's a long time back and he should be over it by now.

'I know it's been tough up to this point and I'm not going to be critical of anybody purely because of the amount of games we've had. But, I've told the players that I'm looking for that extra strength to get us across the finishing line.'
