'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Latest on new ground plans

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart has told the Advertiser that our new ground will be built on one of two sites.

A couple of weeks ago, Mr Stewart announced that he had four places in mind for the new stadium but this week he says he has whittled it down to two - but is still keeping mum over which two they are.

'Things have moved on,' Mr Stewart said, 'and there are two sites we are concentrating on. Very soon we hope to announce which one we will be going for.'

With time ticking by for the club to move back into Rotherham, I really would have hoped by now to have had at least a site for the new ground if not plans, permission and the clearing of a site ready for a build. After all, as band Across Five Aprils sang '..Promises are just words unless they are fulfilled...'
