RUFC - Robins 'taken a while for Jaybo to settle'

Rotherham United signed Jason Taylor on a free from Stockport in the January transfer window and I think one or two of us sat up and thought 'whoa, he looks good!' But, on his few appearances for the side, he's never quite looked 'right'. Until Tuesday night, that is, when he replaced an out-of-sorts Mark Hudson with twelve minutes to go.

As soon as he entered the field of play he started to put himself about, hurry the opposition into making poor passes and he made and scored a goal - his first in a Millers shirt, which enabled his Manager, Mark Robins, to say, 'Now that was more like the Jason Taylor I signed.'

Speaking to the Advertiser, Robins continued, 'There were a lot of clubs after Jason when we signed him and it's taken him a while to settle and it's taken me a while to get to know how he ticks. But, if he carries on like that and gets a good pre-season under his belt then he can be an awesome player for Rotherham United.'
