RUFC - Robins in frame for Oldham job?

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has emerged as the favourite for the Oldham Manager's job.

Caretaker Manager, Joe Royle, said that he won't be carrying on as manager after the end of the season telling The Sun, 'Oldham will always have a place in my heart, but it is a job for a younger man.'

Royle, 60, stepped into the breach six weeks ago after the League One club sacked John Sheridan. Unfortunately Royle has been unable to get the Lactics into winning ways in the eight games he has been in charge.

Oldham's owners are big admirers of what Robins has done with the Millers while he's been in charge although, it would seem, that ex Millers boss, Alan Knill, is also in the frame for the job.

Oldham are currently in tenth place in League One.

I think Mark would fit in very well with Oldham and it would be a good opportunity to prove once and for all if he has what it takes.
