'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Fenton 'we're 100% focused'

Rotherham United's Nick Fenton will play his fifty-sixth consecutive game tomorrow at Don Valley making him the only ever-present for the club this season.

'It seems a long time since August,' the tall centre-half, who joined last summer from Grimsby, told The Advertiser. 'I've never played as many games as we have this year before. It's been a long hard season and I'll be glad of a rest. I've been lucky and had no suspensions or injuries and I've kept fit.

'We are totally focused on the Exeter game and our target is to finish in the top three with the points added on and, with a win at Bradford, we'd have been virtually guaranteed that. We didn't go there to defend we wanted to win and we want to win this weekend. Ian Sharps and I have a good relationship but in the last week or so we've been conceding goals and we want to put that right.

'It's a big game for us tomorrow because it affects the automatic promotion spot with Exeter and Bury both needing to win. We want to finish on a good note in front of our fans at Don Valley and everyone will be putting in everything to get a good result. After the match is when we will start to think about our two months off and our summer holidays.'
