RUFC - Robins - Norwich job 'just speculation'

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, is well thought of at Norwich City. He is an ex-player who was part of the success story at Carrow Road in the 90's. And, at Rotherham United, he has proved himself to be a capable manager. So there was no surprise when his name was mentioned as the Canaries look for someone to take over at the helm.

But Robins, who has a contract with the Millers until 2012, says that it's the usual speculation you hear at this time of year.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, the Millers Manager said, 'The last time I looked Norwich had a manager and it's unfair to talk about such things while there's a man in the post. If you are doing well and you get good results then people do take notice and that's OK because the consequence of not doing well is that you are out of a job.

'I've not thought about Norwich at all. I'm concentrating on the job in hand because we have a big season ahead of us. My focus, at the moment, is to get players in to make us better.'
