'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Green 'We can go up!'

Rotherham United defender, Jamie Green, has committed himself to the Millers for two years and today, told the Official Site, that the team has the potential to go up.

'We are looking at promotion, preferably automatic, but, if not, then via the play-offs.'

Jamie said he was looking forward to working with new signings, Jamie Annerson and Kevin Ellison but was sorry to see some of the other players moving on. 'I've worked with Jamie Yates and Marc Newsham for around six years and I've spent a lot of time with Omar Garcia this season so it is sad to see them leave, although I will be going to visit Omar in Spain.'

Jamie is having a rest from the game at the moment but admits that, although it was a long hard season, he will soon want to be back into football again.

Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas said, 'Jamie has been outstanding this season and we are pleased that he more than earned his extended deal.'
