RUFC - Pope gets three year deal

Rotherham United's latest recruit, striker, Tom Pope has signed a three year deal this afternoon after passing a medical.

Rotherham have paid £150,000 for the twenty-three year old, who was a fans favourite at Crewe, which equals the club record.

Speaking to the Official Site, he said, 'I feel Rotherham is the place where I can build my career and my aim is to fight for a place in the team.

'A few clubs were interested in me but the Manager sold Rotherham to me. He phoned me and gave me a good report on what's happening here and I liked what I saw. I am a honest, hard working player, although I am not the strongest of players but I will put in a shift for Rotherham. My main attribute is scoring goals and, if I get the chances, hopefully I can hit the back of the net.'

All at Vital Rotherham want to welcome Tom to the club
