'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Reid future uncertain

Rotherham United have said that, despite handing in a transfer request, striker, Reuben Reid could still stay with the club.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Manager, Mark Robins said, 'We'll see what happens but Reid may end up being here for the season. We'll certainly want the market value of a player who has scored nineteen goals and we've got an idea what that will be. We've turned down an offer already for Reuben from MK Dons and there has been no other bid for him.

'It's not my or the clubs policy to keep people at the club who don't want to be here but I am disappointed with the situation.

'We won't necessarily have to alter our plans for next season because, unless someone comes in for him, he is still our player.

'We've got a stronger squad this season than last and we are looking forward to starting next season.'
