'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Broughton 'squad looking fit'

Rotherham United striker, Drewe Broughton says he is ready for the season ahead.

Speaking to the Official Site, the thirty-one year old said, 'We've been back in training for around ten days now and I'm beginning to feel more like a footballer. After the first few sessions my fitness has improved and I'm excited about the start of the season.

'The squad is looking strong and fit - in fact, some of us think it's the fittest squad we've ever been part of. The standards throughout the squad are really high and we are optimistic about the new season.

'All the new lads have settled in - Popey is amusing us all. We are all looking forward to the friendlies and Walsall will be a good game to get under our belts. I'm just hoping I'll remember how to pass, jump and shoot!'

Rotherham entertain Walsall at Don Valley on Saturday with a 3.00pm kick off.
