RUFC - Pope's Faux Pas!

RUFC - Pope's Faux Pas!

Rotherham United striker, Tom Pope has told The Star that he might get a new nickname of 'Dopey' from his teammates after making a bit of a faux pas on Saturday!

The Millers were playing Walsall at Don Valley in the first of the pre-season friendlies but Pope went to the Keepmoat, where the team train, instead!

'I think my new nickname might be Dopey instead of Popey!' the twenty-three year old said. 'My head wasn't right and I went the wrong way - they absolutely caned me for it! I should just have said I'd got stuck in traffic.'

But Pope did manage to find his way towards the net as he scored the only goal for the Millers in their 2-1 loss.
