'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - New Red and White Club

Rotherham United are stamping their mark on Don Valley by having a Red and White Club. Last season's 500 Room is to be re-named and will be open for season ticket holders for the first league game of the season this Saturday.

Commercial Director, Steve Coakley, told the Official Site, 'Traditionally, there has always been somewhere for the fans to meet and have a pre-season drink together and we hope to encourage season ticket holders to use the Red and White Club. It is also one of the few areas within the stadium that Rotherham United Football Club can benefit from financially. We are keen to make this a regular vibrant area which will both be an enjoyable facility for the supporters and improve on our fairly limited income streams.'

Tickets for this new club will be few and far between and strictly on a first come, first served basis, which is in line with Safety Advisory Authorities rules and regulations. Season Ticket holders can claim their tickets, on a match to match basis, from the Ticket Office at Mangham House. In the unlikely event that there are any tickets left they will be available at the Red and White Shop at Don Valley.

I have asked the Supporters Club if their members would still be able to use this room and was told they will find out as they had been told nothing about this. They used the 500 Room last season as their 'headquarters' at DV
