RUFC - ALF joins Millers

After a will-he, won`t-he, saga over the last couple of days, Adam Le Fondre has finally signed a three year deal with Rotherham United, as sy2006 told us earlier this afternoon. Although a fee hasn`t been disclosed, I personally would think it is around the £100,000 mark.

Le Fondre, who is twenty-two, progressed through Stockport`s Youth Scheme and played over sixty games for the first team before moving to Rochdale, firstly on loan and then signed a permanent three year contract in July 2007.

On Saturday, it was announced that Le Fondre would be signing for the Millers but on Sunday the club said the deal was off. Vital Rotherham understand the player trained with the team this morning and, after a medical, has put pen to paper.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Adam - who is affectionally known as Alf because of his initials

County fan here... Alfie will do the business for you in L2. No worries with that. A Stockport lad born and bred but be warned there are those who say he has an attitude problem. Then again... who cares if he bangs in 20 goals for you this season. Good luck Millers... we will probably cross leagues at the end of this season :(
