RUFC - Warrington says Team Spirit is Strong

Rotherham United 'keeper, Andy Warrington says that the team spirit at the club is as strong as ever.

'The team spirit is fantastic,` the thirty-three year old told The Advertiser, 'and it will get us through when we`re having a bad time on the pitch. There`s no gimmies* in this league, especially at places like Bournemouth. I didn`t think they were a bad side last season and they`ve started good this time but I don`t think they will be one of the better sides in the league although the flip side of that is they beat us. I don`t think I had a save of any magnitude to make but neither did their 'keeper which probably says a lot about the game. To go a goal down just before half-time was a massive blow and it was disappointing to go all that way and not get anything.`

*I could be wrong but I think 'gimmies` is an unofficial golfing term which means a putt has been requested to be conceded.
Of course, I do stand to be corrected if anyone else has a clue what one is!

I have a feeling I've heard the saying before re gimmies! I think team spirit is probably the most important thing in a football club
