RUFC - Reid grateful to Robins

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins brought in Reuben Reid almost from the unknown for the friendlies at the start of last season and it took just a couple of performances to make the gaffer want to sign him up.

Reuben was the Millers' top scorer last season with nineteen goals and, when he handed in a transfer request, the management tried to keep him. But, the twenty year old was determined to move on, and, when he moved to West Brom the transfer money came in handy.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Reid said, 'I'll always be grateful that Mark Robins took a chance on me. He gave me minutes on the pitch to show what I could do and I hope I was able to repay that faith.'

It is thought that Roberto Di Matteo will start with Reid up front against the Millers tonight.
